The Museum Center of Parchment and Leather

For many people, parchment evokes the past, more or less distant.
For almost all people asked, parchment is a kind of paper.
Numerous are the ones who think that it is no longer produced nor used.

Nevertheless, parchment is still made and used. Certainly, with industrial progress, in some domains, other materials replaced it, but not always with success.

The know-how remains and must be protected.

To this end, we created the Museum of Parchment and Leather, which is in charge of promoting the parchment as a material for artists and creators in diverse domains, and in which it is possible to see at first hand the stages of parchment manufacturing, and to discover its history and its more or less obvious uses.
